Iron Sulphate application advice.

I was about to apply Iron Sulphate as a moss killer on my lawn and had a thought....

Should I apply it now or wait until the forecast is for rain? Is a March application advisable anyway?

    Caution!!  You're right at the tail end of the application season (Sep-Mar), but have you any pets?  Dog particularly.  If you have, and it runs around on the lawn, you'll tend to find annoying black footprints indoors that are extremely difficult to erase.  We've stopped using it.

    No pets. Unfortunately our much loved dog passed away just before Christmas.
