Hard pruning Fuchsia

I have a couple of hardy fuchsia, which I haven't cut back for at least two years.  They are sprouting new leaves, which are still quite small, but I want to tidy them up a bit, so wondering if OK to give them a hard prune down to groundish level.  Given that they are already sprouting new leaves, am I too late or is it still OK to do it?

I’d go for it ... if they’re in pots I’d repot at the same time. If they’re in the ground I’d feed and mulch. 😊 

Poly-anthus

I cut mine almost to the ground at this time of the year - did it last week - and they always come back no bother (and I'm in the Scottish Highlands)
