It looks dry to me.  Camellias come from parts of the world that have heavy rain in July, August and into autumn which is when they're busy making the buds for the next flowers.  If they don't get enough moisture at this time the buds fail.

It may also just be thirsty now and so prefers to conserve moisture for its foliage which are its food factory.  I suggest a good drink, a liquid feed of rose or tomato feed as a tonic and a dollop of slow release fertiliser for ericaceous plants.   Use rainwater if you can as they don't like calcium in their soil or tap water.

Hello wazza. The growing medium you have your camellia in looks very dry. There is time yet for those buds to open

    Water is more important.

Just bear in mind too - that if it's against a wall, it can also be in a rain shadow.
If you can  move it out a little bit, that will also help it catch rain.
Still need to keep an eye on the watering anyway though  :)

Looking good there wazza but don't forget the watering. This is particularly important in the late summer as this is when next year's flower buds will be formed.
