I've just found weevils in pots, it takes ages to sift through the compost but they go straight onto the bird table, it makes the birds happy. Is there anything that I can use on the pots to kill them off, I don't know what the eggs look like and I would probably not be able to see them anyway, thanks
Also in various sizes from tiny to when they have 'wings' before turning to adults so just wondering if the mild winter has meant the adults have kept breeding?
I saw the first adult here over the weekend but it's a lot colder here than down with you I imagine. I think the eggs don't all hatch at once though which is why you might see difference in growth.
They also go after my fushia in my hanging baskets too. The adults make such a satisfying crunch when you stand on them! Better than the Lilly bugs which get the same treatment.
