What is this please? Anyone?

Mt daughter gave me a lovely pot plant for Mothering Sunday but because I am being anti-social, no, sorry, self-isolating, I couldn't ask her what it is.

I'm rubbish with flowers but keep thinking phlox (which means it won't be that!) can anyone help?

    Primula malacoides or fairy primula?
Do you have a picture of the whole plant?

I would have said primula malacoides as well, going by the leaves  :)

It/they are in a pot @fidgetbones so there is no more to see unless I unpot it.  So not phlox then, what a surprise!  I have never heard of fairy primula, best go look it up as it would be lovely to put it in the garden when it gets a bit warmer/drier.

    Thank you both very much.

It is used as an indoor ornamental plant, not like the hardy primroses we have.

Oh goodness. I'll just put my RHS book back and get out the Hessayon I guess. It looks as though it needs to be in a bigger pot, got some research to do. Thank you @fidgetbones you may have saved its life  :)
