There is a big one of these in our garden… but I just wondered what this small one was… is it a seed that has grown? Overall what is it?

Prunus laurocerasus ... Cherry laurel. Often used as a hedging plant.

They get rather large

, so you may want to remove it, unless you like a bit of pruning now and again...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Thanks all. I think is see the "parent" plant nearby too, which also looks unintentional and is quite tall / leggy in deep shade.
