White mould under my newspaper mulch!
Hi everyone,
So I have a very large raised bed for veg. I'd prepared it about 4 months ago with a couple of tonnes of gorgeous, rich soil, and laid cardboard down on top.
I planned on planting out my first veg seedlings this weekend (broccoli, Kale, beetroot and brussels sprouts specifically), but have just lifted the cardboard and the soil is COVERED in white mould.
Does anyone know what the deal is? Should I be skimming the surface, or am I OK to just dig it in?
Help!
David
