I've a crop of something in my dry raised bed that I don't think I've sown. Looks healthy but not like any other weeds I've had. Anyone know what it is?
Rosebay Willow Herb, weed. Remove before flowering. 1 years seeds = 7 years weeds.
He calls her the chocolate girl Cause he thinks she melts when he touches her She knows she's the chocolate girl Cause she's broken up and swallowed And wrapped in bits of silver
It's the perennial version of willow herb. Easy to pull out though You'll probably have some of the annual ones appearing too - they look slightly different, but yo can post a pic of those when they appear. As long as you deadhead the pinky/purple flowers you can keep them in check.
Just make sure you do though - each flower head can produce around 100,000 seeds
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
