Advice needed please

Hi all

I wondered if you could help me identify the following:

1. the plant in the middle of the picture and not the forefront

2. this emerging plant

Many thanks in advance

#2 Dicentra spectabilis (recently renamed to Lamprocapnos spectabilis) aka bleeding heart. Probably the white cultivar 'alba'.

Agree with Papi Jo about the second ID.  Not positive about the first, but it could be Centaurea montana, perennial cornflower... but quite a lot of common perennials have that leaf shape and habit.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    I agree with @Liriodendron and @Papi Jo
