Aloe vera potting compost

AlidonneAlidonne Posts: 41
I have just repotted my aloe Vera after it flowered for the third year in a row. I now have 12 decent sized plants out of one small pot. My problem is I thought I’d bought cactus potting compost and only realised when I was tidying up the it was citrus compost. Will this kill my aloes??

  • Westland Citrus compost contains an ingredient to retain moisture, but most succulents do not like to be moist for a long time, so I would repot it into something more suitable.
