I planted a Stella at our allotment a few months ago.  It does have some buds on it, but they are small, and it is a bit too early for leaves.  Your title suggests you have it in a pot, is that correct?  Trees, especially hungry fruiting ones, are probably better in the ground.  Cherry trees have large roots, so again, probably not so good in a pot.  Make sure the soil does not dry out, place it where it will get full sun, and start giving it a weekly feed around March/April time.  Assuming it is still alive, it should be OK.

My Stella has dark buds all over, these will produce flowers first and the leaves will come as they open. Remember to get that fruit cage on as soon as you see little green fruits, if you want to eat them and not the birds.😁
