    Lovely hellebores. I always forget how good they look floating in a pan and how long they can last that way.

    You have one like my new seedlings, with a dark ring in the middle.  (top left hand in my bowl) Is it all deep red on the back?   I find the markings on hellebores fascinating.

    So do I but they only sell white flowered ones here and they want 20€ a pot!   I'm waiting for seeds to grow into colourful versions.

    Here it is , yes as you said . We did a few hours Gardening, me cutting back last years Asters OH checking for bugs in our grown from seed Primulas and moving them on to Litre pots, even though we drench pots with vine weevil destroyer ! Can't win But also he swept pollen from a whiteHellebores onto the one of our Red ones  marks it then some seed shedding time a long way off yet pots them up and we wait to see a new variety grown. it's fun but OH has been doing this for a few years now, try it

    Narcissus 'Tête Bouclé'. New discovery for me. I wouldn’t have thought double daffodils could be so charming.

  • Just pruned osteospernum. Too nice to put in the compost just yet and they last such a long time in a vase. Valerie
