Begonia White Cascade Bulbs

I have just purchased 3 Begonia Cascade white bulbs from Wilco.  On the packaging it recommends planting February-June.  When is it best to plant for optimum performance, and do I plant the bulbs in a pot first, or straight into the hanging basket where they will be finally.
Any advice would be much appreciated as this is the first time I have grown Begonias.

I would get them started in individual pots in some warmth.

Make sure the round side is at the bottom, the hollow at the top.

  • Thank you,  that was very useful. So I plant now in pots with some warmth then transfer to a hanging basket when the warmer weather comes - if it comes?

It will get here. We will probably go from drowning in water to a hosepipe ban.
