ideas for edging a border

The wooden edging that I got from poundland is gradually rotting and disintegrating.
Any ideas for new edging- easy to install and also reasonably priced

  • Depends on your idea of reasonably priced I suppose.
The log rolls generally will deteriorate over time - particularly if you do not incorporate some sort of plastic ( ? ) barrier.
Using stone or brick is a good alternative but the cost could be appreciably higher than the wood option.
Metal edging ( everedge is one I thlnk ) is available in various heights and roll lengths and easy to install but is also quite expensive.
I'd guess as well as considering your budget, it would depend on the "look" you want to achieve.

Places such as B&Q, Wickes, Toolstation, Homebase and The Range all do border edging. It's basically a case of you pay your money and you take your choice. :)
I would suggest maybe treating with some type of preservative if you go for wood again, this should help to prolong the life of the wood.
