Hello all! Novice gardener here...

I'm wondering what this plant is - and whether I could move it? Thank you!

Looks like a laurel, how long has it been there? Should be ok if in last few years. Good how to in this weekend's Times on moving shrubs.
  • Thank you for your reply. It has been there for nearly four years now. I will have a look in The Times  :)
  • Doesn’t look like a laurel to me. I’m not good on a lot of shrubs but something keeps saying Daphne to me .... but I might be 100% wrong.

    ..... help! 😆

Could be one of the viburnum I think going by the foliage.

It’s one of the low growing Laurel. Prunus Lauroceracus ‘Zabeliana’.

It may not be that easy to dig up but always worth a try. All depends on your soil type. I recommend you cut it down quite a bit first so it is easier to pull and hold onto when lifting.
  • Ah ... we live and we learn ... I'll try to remember that one  :)

plus one for Laurel, can be moved if you're strong. Personally I'd move it a very long way

Personally I'd move it to the compost heap, or even better to the neighbour's compost heap. ;)
