ID - and advice please

Hello, can anyone ID this plant for me? Also, it’s looking rather sorry for itself and I’m hoping someone might have some advice on how to get it to flourish again. Many thanks in advance for your comments :)

It's a Dracaena (probably Dracaena fragrans.)  Some info. and tips here:
My own advice would be to wait until there is more light in late spring, re-pot it into fresh compost and cut the main stem down, either by a few inches, or right down so that about 8 inches remain.  They will nearly always then grow new shoots - you can see where this was done before, with 3 shoots appearing and now forming the top of your plant.  If you then cut the removed part into 6" to 8" sections, leave them for a week so the ends callous over, they can be planted in a 50/50 mix of compost and grit or perlite and most will root in a warm, well-lit area.  More plants for free and an insurance in case the main plant doesn't survive the chop.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
