When our friends' son died he had requested a 'natural funeral' which, as I understand it, meant a wicker coffin and being buried in what will become a woodland area. Each grave has a tree or trees planted beside it so the body eventually becomes nutrient, and there will be no non-biodegradable residue.
He was a lovely guy and it's nice to think that he will still be having a positive effect on the environment for decades to come.
I've heard there is some part, or parts, of the world where you can just be left on a remote hillside for wild animals and birds to eat you. I'd go for that.

I've sung with a choir at Epping Forest burial park. It's a beautiful place but I believe the prices are very high to be buried there.
