Shrubs for a 80% Shaded Border
I have a 12 x 2 fot area that has been under flagstones for 20+ years that I have reclaimed.
I am able to regenerate the soil with manure etc so that is OK.
The sun will only shine on the area from about 10.00am till 11.00am every day as it is shaded by the house and a 4 foot tall wall next to it

I have two of the above in an adjacent bed under the same conditions
? Have any of you any similar evergreen shrubs that you have sucessfully planted and grown on in similare circumstances
My brilliant GC has suggested I wait until end of Feb and then re visit to chose.
Help please friends.

Sarcococca seems to fit the bill, but I wonder what else may work there, so will be interested to see what others suggest.

I nearly removed mention of them before posting due to that but decided to leave it as is. Getting lazy I guess.
Depending on the soil type, camellia perhaps? Osmanthus is another that springs to mind.
Useful..... shrub, slow, glossy evergreen.
Sarcococca Hookerina
Hebe Starlight
Hebe Rhubarb and Custard
Daphne Sweet Amethys

RHS delivery service was a nightmare
I gave them 3 other neighbours addresses for acceptance if I was out and on both occasions the delivery man who apparently from Yodl left it on the step and drove off.

The second delivery was in Storm Jorge !! Wind rain and later snow.
I decided on Sarcococca Gorepani and Crocus had them on 20% discount.
When I went to place the order there were none in stock
