Yellow Fumitory

My garden is overrun each year by Yellow Fumitory (Corydalis lutea). Although it is pretty and has a nice scent, it even crowded out the ground cover Phlox that I put in. I don't really want to use weed killer. Is laborious hand weeding the only solution?

I find regular application of a Dutch hoe controls it and other weedlings/seedlings in the wrong place ... no pollution and no backache either. 😊

  • The trouble with hoeing is the expanse of snowdrops which will be shredded. Ho Hum!

Ah well, it’ll have to be handweeding while the snowdrops are small enough to be vulnerable then hoeing between them after that. Good luck 😊
