My Spireas grow well and bud up but do not flower. They have been planted in a north facing garden for three years but have never flowered.

There are all kinds of plants that go under the name of "spirea", so it's impossible to answer your question if you do not specify
what kind of spirea
you have.

Hi, I'm so sorry but I put in the wrong plant name. The plant that will not flower is an Astilbe.

Astilbes need a constantly moist soil. That might be the problem. See some advice on this site:
