Box help please!

Hi, we’ve recently moved to a new property and have inherited a wonderful box hedge. Unfortunately since we moved in it seems to be turning yellow! Is it blight?? We live in North Canterbury NZ, it’s very dry here at the moment and the height of summer. Should I trim back?

    Welcome to the forum  :)
    It's a bit tricky,  this being a UK based forum,  but l would advise watering for a start. I wouldn't cut it back at the moment. I have had a search and found this, which may help.

    I know we have at least one member in Australia,  but l'm not aware of any other New Zealand members. Hopefully someone may have further advice.

    It's probably just short of water and it looks as though that side gets more sunshine so it will struggle more. Give it a really good soak and see if that improves it in a couple of weeks.  Unfortunately if it goes browner then it is most probably box blight.
