I guess that depends how long the soil remains waterlogged...

I removed the fig and put it in a bald cypress i had in a container I was growing that might like the water?

I thought it was interesting to see how old the oldest bald cypress was in the uk. The best I can tell the oldest bald cypress in the uk is early 1600s
