Sorbus Berries?

Hi,

I took these images in Autumn and labelled them as Sorbus berries. Now I'm not so sure as a lot of Sorbus berries have a puckered bottom! Was I right or was I barking up the wrong tree (sorry!).

Perhaps Berberis wilsoniae? Don't think it's a Sorbus...

Definitely Berberis.

Thanks to you both. Looks more of a match than sorbus. All of the sorbus berries I looked at had puckered bottoms like they'd sucked a lemon and my berries had smooth bottoms!

Well, this is super embarrassing!! I saw it at Highdown Gardens, Worthing, West Sussex. I never bothered to check their website as the last time I looked at it there were just a couple of pics and a piece on the history of the place. Now if I had looked at it in recent weeks I would have found a completely updated site and this!!
