It's Sarcococca. There are different varieties though.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Really, Papi Jo? 😟 We have a large one by the front door and another by the french windows. We think they smell lovely....
No wonder nobody comes to see us.🤢
