Road Tree Identification

Hi, the council have planned this tree outside my house but I'm unsure what it is, any ideas?

  • Hi I think your on to something, I think it might be Sorbus Pink Pagoda, Mountain Ash. No witches so far  o:)

    Love the colour of the berries - do you think the birds might give them a miss?

  • So far the birds have avoided them but I suspect it's only a matter of time. My house has thousands of holly berries around it so they will probably finish them off first  ;)

    They take red berries first , then orange and yellow. The pink and white ones usually get left until there are no other options. If you live in a milder area, they often won't get eaten at all.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
