Can they be moved?

I got carried away recently and bought quite a few alliums. Unfortunately the place I want to plant them eventually isn't ready yet. If I plant them in a temporary place this winter will they survive being moved next winter?

    Either move or pot up and then plant when area is ready

    I’d pot them up and then sink the pots in the ground when you can.

    Will probably plant them in pots and bury them this year. Thank you for your suggestions.
