First frosts and young ceanothus

With the first frosts now upon us I’d appreciate some advice on how best to protect our young ceanothus. Right now they are both Less than three feet tall. They’ve been in the garden since April and are positioned against a fence (in the ground) which gets sun from about lunchtime onwards. So whilst getting some protection my concern is that a harsh frost or two could really damage them. Is it worth investing in something to wrap them in??

Thanks

A lot depends on what species of Ceanothus they are. Some are a lot less hardy than others.
