Can anyone identify this plant?

hi I love this plant, it has been in the garden a long time . I’d like to make sure I’m pruning etc properly to look after it. Can anyone identify it? So I can look up care etc

Spirea- no need to worry re pruning. They're virtually indestructible  :)
You can trim after flowering, just remove stems if it gets too big, or leave it to it's own devices.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Thank you thanks fairygirl. I don’t remember seeing flowers but will look out for now
  • ooh it's nice. I'll have to find room for one of those.

They flower on the current years growth ;so to keep them fairly compact , lightly prune after flowering .
As Fairygirl says , they're virtually indestructible and can be severely reduced if necessary .
  • It’s lovely I think
