Help please - is this a type of fungus?

Hi everyone - has anyone any idea what this is that has appeared under a laurel tree? 
If it is a type of fungus, is it a ‘good’ one or do I heed to get rid of it ASAP? It seems to be spreading quite quickly.
Really grateful for any help

    Possibly Ramaria stricta or one of the other Coral fungi. Fascinating 😊 

    It’s breaking down organic matter in the soil and making it available to your plants. Nothing to worry about 😊

    Phew! That’s a relief. We’ve had lots of different types of fungi in the garden this Autumn but not had anything that looks like this before.
