  • It's very peaceful, @Dovefromabove.  A lovely place to sit and contemplate... but not in today's weather...

Couldn't see a lot, @Fairygirl.  Had to nip to the shops (need to have a fast walk every day to compensate for the lack of steps to keep me fit!) but my eyes were on the puddles, hoping not to be splashed by passing BMW drivers.  (They're definitely the worst for not noticing pedestrians next to the puddles they're about to drive through...)

Washing dripping inside today, @AuntyRach.  I was making do with the dozen pegs left on the line by my predecessor, when the weather was fine, and doubling up the socks.   :)

Incidentally, I can recommend a heavy dose of shingles and a house move for anyone wanting to lose weight.  I seem to be twelve pounds lighter than before this all started!

  • Oooh that doesn’t sound very nice ... glad you’ve got your hatches battened.
We’ve been promised rain but I don’t think we’re going to get the wind like those of you further west.

Hatches battened here too.  Very lively out there now.

Hope you'll be OK while OH is away @Liriodendron.  Plenty to do I'm sure but not easy when you don't know anyone yet.

Kitty is getting closer, she’s living in the wooden shed, door is just open a couple of inches, she’s got a piece of duvet and a fur igloo that I’ve seen her in through the day as well as the night.  She has a littler tray in there as well, although not yet used.
This morning she came to the door for her breakfast, I put it out on the step, then lunch time she came again and I put some biscuits just outside the door.
It can take up to 3 weeks to gain a wild cats trust, out of the 13 cats I’ve had over the years, only 2 came from domestic houses, all the others were wild.
I worry that she hasn’t been spayed, they don’t usually mate in the winter, lets hope.

@Lyn Wonky is doing the same as you ... a pretty little tabby is living in their shed ... she’s quite small ... possibly less than a year old ... she’s feeding but waits until Wonky has left the shed before she’ll feed ... Wonky is trying to spend increasing amounts of time just sitting quietly in a corner of the shed ... fortunately it’s a large shed... Wonky’s friend will give puss a home ... once Wonky can catch her. 😊
That shed used to be Flatters’ home ... nature and cats abhor a vacuum 😆

@Liriodendron your new home sounds as though it's in a lovely spot, I hope you'll be very happy there.

It has tipped with rain, very heavy at times.
Did a bit of HW, sorted photos, fed horses, chatted on phone, lit fire, cooked lunch, nothing exciting.

I think this little cat is about 5 months old, that’s why I’m worried about some old Tom calling!đŸ˜±

Can you shut her in at night or will that be counter productive.

Our pair were adopted thru a local charity which had undesrestimated Minstrel's age so imagin our surprise one night when, way ahead of schedule, she set up the most amazing caterwhauling and waved her bum at anything and everything, much to Bonzo dog's surprise.   It did break the ice tho and they get on well now.  We changed her appointment and brought it forward a month.

    Good luck catching her.

Thankfully Wonky’s friend is prepared to take the cat on, kittens and all, if need be. She’s a good soul  <3
