Morning all. It's still autumn here too, a very wet one. I look on December, January and February as being winter.
Bank holiday here, I shall have a quiet day. Think I'll sort out more photos from the laptop to make another photo album from Photobox. I was very pleased with the last one.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Love the rhymes Dove, I was trying to picture Birmingham Marc with the wetherđ± your rhymes says it all! Another grey day here, no gardening, could poke around in the GHâs but not much left to do and the gardenâs still in flower so nothing to cut down, bored already.Â
Your trying to picture me âșâșâș hope there's no attractions coming my way. Sorry to upset you sweetheart I'm already spoken for.Â
Oh - what have I done @Dovefromabove! Please don't link me with that big orange walloper  Shoulda, woulda, coulda Ferdiddling down here, but have to go out on errands. Listening to the discussion about youngsters who have been committed and have Autism/Aspergers. I saw the girl's dad on thenews earlier too. Jesus- we treat dogs in b****y kennels better. It's like the middle ages All that's missing is someone outside selling tickets. Not sure whether this is more appropriate than this one Neither are anywhere near enough.Â
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Itâs the area I used to work in @Fairygirl ... in Norfolk we introduced a scheme so that as soon as one of our young people reached their teenage years we started to plan for their transition to the Adult social care team and weâd liaise with the workers in that team (involving parents at every step). This enabled the Adult team to cost and budget for the care needed by that young person.Â
When they reached 16 the young person would start introductions to the new service ... the accommodation, staff and activities ... so that by the time they reached adulthood everyone knew what was happening, the finances were in place and the young person was looking forward to a positive step into adulthood.Â
However this sort of Best Practice is expensive .... I was so lucky to be working in that field before the cuts got too bad. Iâm glad I left. I wouldnât want to go back. I worry that all the good foundations my colleagues and I laid may be crumbling due to a lack of resources. đÂ

I sincerely hope not, I think itâs illegal, get your wellies ready just in case.Â
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.Â
It's the old story @Dovefromabove. It comes down to money, and I think most people understand there isn't a bottomless pit, but you do wonder how other ludicrous projects [HS2 springs to mind] can gaily be rubber stamped, when we have a crisis of this type. It's a subject close to my heart because of my daughters, although I consider my self lucky that they aren't in the sort of situation these youngsters are. I understand how you feel about it all too.
It's beyond despicable.Â

@Obelixx - that cough medicine sounds impressive, is there a brand name for it please. I nearly always get a hacking cough following a cold and nights are misery so would be interested to try it if it's available here.
