Am I too late?

We planted new Lavender Munstead plants in the summer but forgot to cut back in August.  Am I now too late to do this in October?  Should I wait until spring and prune lightly then?

No, it's not late to just cut back the flower stems - just be careful not to cut too far down into brown wood.
