Lemon tree. Needs pruning ?

I have small lemon tree which has thrived in my kitchen window for few years now. Sprouting many small  lemons   From the lengthy branches spreading across and all over the wide window   But  I am not sure if I should be pruning it ??    Advice would be welcome   Thanks in advance

    I haven't pruned mine at all yet in the two years I've had it.   The best time to prune a lemon is in February but only if you need to shorten leggy stems.  Otherwise, just pinch out the tips to encourage bushy growth.
