Can you help ID this plant?

    I think that looks like the Himalayan Honeysuckle, Leycesteria Formosa.
  • Thanks I think it is some kind of honeysuckle from the berry. It was sold to me as a patio forsythia which it obviously is not.

  • I bought it over a year ago and can't remember who from. However, never mind the leaves have been a pretty color for most of the summer. The few flowers it had were lila c, small and quite insignificant.

    That's a shame @Elizabeth Davies. They're lovely, but I don't think it'll do terribly well in a pot long term. It usually wants to be a fairly big shrub, so it would be better in the ground, or put in a bigger pot if you have one. A little shade is beneficial for it too.  :)
