@Foxosimo ...you can do that if you want, or you can prune harder, but most of the foliage is on the top growth, so if you cut lower the stems will be mostly leafless until they shoot out again from below where you've cut... it doesn't take long, and it's not a problem... so prune whatever you want.. ...you should also be advised that during freezing weather your plant will look dead... all those leaves will close up and take on a wilted, frozen appearance... nothing to worry about, as soon as temps rise they will open up again and look fresh once more.. freezing wind is the killer, more than freezing temps.... in my experience... depends where you live perhaps..
