if I smash up lump charcoal is this as the same as the product recommended on gardeners world the other day

Thanks for the link, inclined to think smashed up lump wood charcoal would do no harm , but won't necessarily do any good,

I am very very sceptical and think you'd get much better bang for your buck adding composted green waste.

I agree, my biggest problem is getting enough brown waste.always take compostable cardboard boxes from the supermarket
