Bonsai weeds

I have been letting these weeds grow for about 6 months anyone got any idea what they are? I think they are probably sapping energy from the tree but I was too curious to pull them out!

    Can't tell with the weed sorry but in a small pot it's always better to remove weeds before their roots get too entangled. You can wet the soil and tease the roots out when they're small if it's something you want to grow on.

    They look a bit like aubretia seedlings.
    Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.
