Hey oh knowledgeable people in my phone .... this plant ( think Its a michaelmas daisy ?) has been fabulous over the summer . Just wondering if I give it a trim & pop it into the ground will it come back again next year ? Many thanks x
It is, as Perki said, an Argyranthemum, (syn. Margueritte). Usually only lasts one season. Needs to be kept frost free, so I certainly wouldn't put it in the ground.

had loads of daisy like flowers
I would put it up on pot feet to help with drainage over winter and move into a more sheltered position near a wall if possible.
