What are the best plants for windowsill pots that will last all year around?

I have over 30 windowsill pots and change them for Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter, but i was wondering if anyone could recommend a flowering plant that will last all year around?
Many thanks
Phill

Are they inside or outside of the window?
    In London. Keen but lazy.

  • Outside the window, they don't have to flower all year around but the plant last all year around. Ideally flowering in the summer.

As you’re in SW France I’d go for pelargoniums. They’ll be happy with high light levels.

On sunny sills, Diascias, Armeria, Calibrachoa and Erigeron Karvinskianus flower for long periods. Just snip them back in mid summer to rejuvenate and again in autumn to tidy up. With the warmth they should come back next year.

For semi shaded sills, Nemesias do well too with similar treatment.
