Afraid the stipe (stem) looks wrong for the Parasol which has a scaly stipe ... the smooth white stipe in the pic Wonky sent me to post indicates it’s a Shaggy Parasol which, as I said earlier, can cause nasty digestive upsets in some folk ... best avoided.

Well folks thanks very much for your opinions which are I'm sure are more expert than my friends! ive sent him a link to this thread and he says thanks and is going to have a closer look! on the plus side he is also a gardener so I guess if he's wrong then there could be more work for me! 😉

If it ends up looking like this, it will be delicious dipped in flour, whisked egg and breadcrumbs and fried in butter.
