If a cactus starts to lean is it bad news?

Not sure whether I should be concerned. But my cactus had started to lean. I’m not sure whether it’s from lack of water or not enough sunlight, although it did get a lot of natural sunlight this summer.

  • I have several small ones in our glass porch, and I have to rotate them regularly.  I would give it a half turn every few weeks.

Nothing wrong with a bit of a bend in the shaft.

Yes as others have said definitely a must do to turn the pots every once in a while to keep the plant growing upright. I have two san pedro cacti growing in containers on a windowsill which faces west and have to rotate the pots fairly regularly or they start to bend.
  • That’s the thing though I do rotate, unless it’s had a quick growth spurt towards the light. Thanks for the advice! I’ll just keep an eye on it in the coming weeks
  • It could be rotting from the base, perhaps the roots have been attacked/weakened so are no longer capable of anchoring the weight of the plant into the pot. Are you over watering @harpreetb2303

I don’t think so, I make sure to only water around once every two weeks and less so in the winter. But I will give it a look over and possibly find a bigger pot.
