Hi all I have a small pond with a small pump, however the foam on the pump soon blocks and restricts the water flow any ideas how I can stop this thanks Terry
Foam will block up very quickly, particularly at this time of year when there is more crud in the pond. Ideally the filter should be more the texture of a 'scrunchy' as my wife calls it, used in the shower. Small particles are then let through, and do no harm to the pump, whilst larger stuff is trapped.

Clean them in copious amounts of fresh cold water, then put them back and enjoy the result.
Repeat as necessary. Often, in summer, this might be once a week. In winter maybe once a month.
