What Shrub??

Do you know what this shrub is?. Those little "spikes things" have the smallest yellow flowers
on the end. It grow like mad, every time I cut it back it just goes mad. Really want to get rid of it or at least cut it right down.

Sadly leaves are not a match for Umbellularia californica.

Umbellularia californica  leaves are alternate on a twig.
Mystery plant leaves pinnate opposite.

Leaves of Cestrum are also alternate...which rules that out as well.

Mystery plant.....Leaves are pinnate.
Leaflets are opposite each other with terminal leaflet.
Reminds me of Senna sp. but unlikely to be that in UK.
Would love to see clear pic to show a flower.

It looks like type of jasmine, jasmine mesnyi (l think, label has long gone). The flowers on mine look like this (not my photo)

Jasminum sp fits well.

Not a Cestrum ... as Silver Surfer has said, the leaves of Cestr are alternate ... those on your plant are not. 

To me it looks like one of the jasminiums ... possibly Jasminum mesnyi ... aka Primrose Jasmin.
