Help - turf invader!

Hi all,

I have started noticing patches appearing in my turf, which is a thicker type of grass and a very light green, so it stands out a mile!

i have tried to identify it, thinking it was crabgrass at first and then maybe kentucky blue annual? 

I have attached some pics and would really appreciate any tips on what it is, and how to get rid of it!

    Couch grass ? ... those are quite small patches ... think I’d dig them out and either patch or reseed in the spring.

    Maybe annual meadow grass or yorkshire fog?  Have you seen any flowers on it? Annual meadow grass can flower and set seed at a low height.  Whatever, the best way to get rid of it is probably to dig/fork out out the clumps while they're still fairly small and reseed the gaps.
