Winter Aconite tubers

Having dug over a patch of ground at the top of our drive today, I replanted daffodil, crocus and snowdrop bulbs. However I'm not sure what aconite tubers look like in the green/at this time of year. So either 1 - I've already replanted them without realising or 2 - the squirrels have had them. Does anyone have pictures of aconite tubers?

They actually just look like little hard lumps of earth, so easy to miss:

They are quite fussy and require the ground to remain fairly moist and must also have summer shade, or they will just disappear.

Thanks Bob, very easy to miss, they look like pebbles?

Ah right that could be it then. The ground is still dry about 3 inches down, though the patch in question is north facing with overhanging mature pine trees.
