Just nip out the teeny leaf shoots at the top of each stem. Thumbnail will do.
That will encourage dormant buds lower down to grow and make new stems you can later pinch back in the same way.
Keep it watered and feed with tomato food and pot on when you see roots appearing at the bottom. Keep it in a sunny position and don't let it get cold and you'll have chilies growing all thru winter and into spring.
