Pale spots on rose leaves

One of my roses has those pale yellowish/greenish spots all over her foliage. Nothing on the other side of the leaves, just on the top side. The rose seems happy enough, just had a small second flash of flowers. I’m still a bit worried if I should do something about this though.
Any advice please?

If they’re only on the top part of the leaves it’s probably Rose Leafhoppers. They will not cause any lasting damage to your plant. Can be brought on in dry weather.

Thank you @Borderline - the damage looks exactly like rose hoppers as you suggested. I now wonder if I should spray the rose with Roseclear or something similar or just leave it be. Just worried they will spread everywhere. But thank you for reassuring me that the plant won’t have any permanent damage, that would be such a shame.

I would leave them, it’s September now and the leaves can start to look tatty.

I think it’s not an issue at all for blemishes and black spot. In fact I seldom see picture perfect leaves at this time of year. Any obviously unsightly leaves could just be cut away at this time of year.
  • Ok sounds good. Not to do anything is my preferred course of action. 😀
Thank you for your advice @Borderline

  • @Boderline ... given it's now May and I have what appears to be the same problem, should I consider spraying my roses with eg Vitax Rosegarde?

    Thanks ...
