I love them and grow them ...but accurate id from a pic almost impossible. There are so many that all look rather similar. Need a pic to show all of it. Need to know size..is it a dwarf or a giant? To id a fern, as in post you need to see the sori on the back of the fern. Each fern has a set pattern. Sorry but I cannot begin to help here.
I think it's a Polystichum. Probably P. setiferum (not a fancy variety, the straight species). If you do a google search you'll see lots of varieties which look quite different but the wild one looks like this - look at the shape of the leaflets and note the furriness on the stalks:
If the leaflets have a distinct glossy sheen to them, it might be P. polyblepharum:
