We’re visiting Anglesey abbey today and came across this beauty... doesn’t anyone know what it is please?

It looks like Ailanthus Altissima, Tree of Heaven. Perhaps cut down a few times previously. They grow like weeds where I'm based in the South East.

I agree with Borderline.
If you look very carefully at a leaflet you will see a tiny lump, a wart...this is a gland and helps to id Ailanthus Altissima.
