Leaving home

One of my plants has now gone to seed, and it is amazing to see how the seeds are formed. This has split open, and you can see all of the seeds lined up. Patiently waiting to leave home. They are like little silk parachutes waiting to leave the plane. Then off they go in the breeze floating away, to set seed maybe somewhere else in the garden. Nature is a wonderful thing.

    It is.

I’ll never forget my first encounter with a Himalayan balsam seedpod back in the 1960s. I give them a wide berth to this day.😊
Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.
If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.
